Malcolm Whittle is also a Director of Business Transformations and is one of the founders of the financial planning industry of today, having commenced in business in 1981, two years before the emergence of BT (Bankers’ Trust) and many of today’s giants among the fund managers. Malcolm’s original background was as a practicing Accountant. During this period he gained extensive first-hand knowledge of a variety of small and medium businesses of many types. He launched an investment management business in early 1981. After two years as partner-elect, then a senior adviser in stock broking, he returned to his own business, progressively upgrading the active investment management aspects. New software availability plus innovations developed saw the firm at the vanguard of active portfolio management.
Malcolm has consistently maintained a high media profile, writing for major newspapers and magazines and conducting Finance & Business radio segments. Currently, he writes for the Murdoch paper - the Sunday Herald Sun - on personal finance, economic and other finance issues.
